Finding the gaps is pretty simple. Fixing them isn’t all that complicated either. However getting the “fixes” to stick – this is where the real work is.
But why…?
Because we’re humans and we like to revert back to old habits. Our brains are wired to preserve energy and let’s be honest – many employees are happy collecting a paycheck for doing just enough to not get fired.
As much as I like to toot my own horn about the quality of the work I do, none of that matters if true transformation does not occur.
Transformation however is a team sport. It requires adoption, ownership, accountability, tracking and measuring. That’s what we’re after.
If we do it right, the payoff is soon to follow: happier customers, a more profitable business, greater enterprise value -and yes, a happier you.
